tonight a bunch of my friends were in Philly visiting each other, and they skyped me! it was so great to talk to you guys! Rebecca, Chantelle, Janell, Dawn, Faith, Chris… it was so cool. i miss you guys a lot. and it was kinda sad me being here and not being there with you, but at the same time it was great!

today we have another birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSA! I trust this year will be wonderful for you and you have many exciting things, such as a wedding! wow. hehe… All the best

another friend celebrates a birthday today…

i am officially done my MA!! wow.

weird. great, but weird feeling. now what? and did i actually just do that? haha… am i supposed to know what i’m doing with my life now? hehe…

hmmm. so i’m thinking about living abroad for a while, while i can… after my internship in April. we’ll see.

but for now the next thing on my plate is going home for Christmas! woo hoo awesome. there is also a possibility of going away somewhere for the weekend - but that’s still a bit up in the air.

day #1.
still not a morning person, but training went well. good to learn about the organization and to learn more about my country and job and what i’ll be doing, etc. very exciting.

although i’m tired. just having flown in from philadelphia and then being up early yesterday morning and driving here… next week more training elsewhere. it’s just crazy busy. and still feel like i have so much to unwind from school. p.s. i still miss you guys. lol.

but i am watching the first season of Grey’s Anatomy (thanks Melissa and Janell!!! haha) and just vegging out tonight.

so what does that mean for all of us whose hearts is with disadvantaged poor and the “least of these”? i guess we’re set to be wanderers it is good to be home though, i mean i’ve always said i LOVE toronto! it’s an amazing city. and i love my family. my heart is definitely here with them.

but a bit of my heart is with you guys now, cohortians. so to use faith’s expression, my heart is hurting a bit tonight. thanks so much to everybody for spending fun time together last night and hanging out in our room. as for the movie, well ummm… it was one way to wrap up the semester, but we were together. rosa, joe and mary i hope you had safe trips today! everybody else i think you’re leaving tomorrow and monday - safe travels!! thanks for hanging out with me in my room before i left and for the farewell downstairs. hehe… and Rebecca!!! thanks for taking me — it was hard, but i really appreciate it.

today is the day that we all knew would come. today was our last class before we each return home and prepare for our field placement. it’s a day full of bittersweet emotion, as we’re excited to go to our field placement but also really sad to be leaving our friends — not sure when we’ll see each other again.

i’ve just finished the main cohort dvd… as for the individual msgs i’ll have to send those later to you somehow. but i really hope you enjoy it.

anyways, i just want to say that this has been one of the most amazing 8 month-periods in my life. it’s truly been life-changing and i’ve really grown, as a result of conversations with you (my teachers and peers), as a result of some of the issues we’ve struggled with/through and just as happens with time. you will be missed and i will keep you in my prayers. please do the same for me. i’ll keep you updated on my blog (i know you are excited about that! hehe)… and when you’re visiting or travelling, look me up!

you’ll be missed. i love you all.

… no i’m not really in denial. i’m so excited for the next chapter of my life! i can’t believe this Philly portion has gone by so fast though. again, sorry i haven’t blogged lately — no, wait i’m not sorry (i apologize too much :P) haha… but ya, it’s been so busy and i haven’t been getting tons of sleep, etc.

also, I talked to the two people that are going to be working as interns in nicaragua as well on skype this week. still figuring out housing… got an e-mail about possible housing options so that will probably get figured out this week — exciting!

and ALSO, i got a call today from rafael which was nice. another great friend from back home and I hadn’t talked to him in ages… although I might not have been so alert having gone to bed at some ridiculous hour — it was great to hear from you, rafael. i appreciate your interest in my journey and am excited to hear about all God’s doing in your life. remember He has a plan for you!! (and you, all you other readers!!!)

this coming Friday is my commencement. i can’t believe it. this has been wonderful. and my family is coming!! i’m so excited! mom, dad, andrew, grandma and andrew’s girlfriend, jess.

1 month today i fly to nicaragua. crazy!

so the 2 july “babies” went out to celebrate the birthdays last night. we went to a place called “The Continental”, kinda swanky. i felt like i was in hollywood. don’t laugh, it’s true. hehe… it was fun though! and then we went to Cuba Libre (Surprise surprise. guess who picked that?)

Thanks to those of you that came, it was fun. And to those that couldn’t, no worries. Faith sorry I changed the date on you. We missed you!
